What is Future 42?

Jefferson Community and Technical College’s advanced manufacturing programs create pathways to some of the most in-demand careers in the region. That pathway runs along Highway 42, home to the area’s largest employers. The Future 42 initiative puts you in the field fast — college classes with the possibility of being paid to work at a company looking to hire people like you upon graduation.

Applied Process Technologies

Enter the booming, lucrative world of chemical manufacturing, power plant operations and other process industries. Nine out of ten graduates in their co-ops have been hired for full-time positions by their employers.

Engineering & Electronics Technology

Learn about the design, application, installation, manufacturing operation and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems. Students can make $55k — $70k/yr after graduating.

Being a certified welder opens a world of possibilities. We get you the skills you need to join, surface, fabricate and repair steel and aluminum. Experienced expert welders in our region can make upwards of $55k/yr.

This degree provides flexible alternatives for meeting student and employer needs. Flexible curriculum is  designed to meet specifics student and workplace needs, and completion will be applicable toward the Associate in Applied Science degree.
